Abbey White is a Philadelphia-based freelance journalist and the Impact Storytelling Lead at Inevitable Foundation. They have worked as a web producer, editor, and reporter, with experience writing news, features, reviews, opinion, interviews, lists, and galleries.
Their work has appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Billboard, Food & Wine, Business Insider, Vox, The Nation, Gothamist, USA TODAY Network, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Paste, 5280 magazine, The Mary Sue, Syfy Wire, Looper, and TV Fanatic. They have also served as moderator and panelist for a range of industry events and entities, including San Diego Comic-Con, Denver Film Festival, SeriesFest, ReelAbilities Film Festival, Diversity and Inclusion Film Festival, New Filmmakers LA, DragonCon, FlameCon, Netflix, AMC, SAG-AFTRA, and Women in Media. They have served as a juror for the Denver Film Festival, SCAD Film Festival, Lighthouse International Film Festival, and Montclair Film Festival, among others.
They earned their M.A. in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a certificate in journalism from Cleveland State University. They’ve been recognized as a 2022 Curve Emerging Journalist, ASME Awards finalist, National A&E Journalism Awards winner, and GLAAD Media Award nominee, among other honors.
